I just installed Unreal (not Unreal Tournament) on my new PBG4 w/ 9700 Radeon. I anticipated some tweaking witch the 3D renderer, but from what I can see, I have automatically only software rendering with 256 colors? What can I set/reset to get a higher color depth?

Regards
PB.

I didn't even know Unreal ran on OS X... is there an OS X patch? I could swear that game was an OS 9 game, because it's pre-UT.

Classic executable only (so far)... everything installed without a hitch. I can tweak the controls and the .ini-files... although everything is 256 color only as it seems. Is that a problem of the software renderer????

Is it 3d accelerated? Sounds like it's just using the software rendering engine.

[osX] News

The first gets you the OSX executable, the second has a forum you can post on for troubleshooting.

He's trying to play Unreal nor Unreal Tournament, which that update is for. UT is mainly a multiplayer game, Unreal is game more like Doom, it's mainly single player (and quite imaginative too, I might add).

Go to planet unreal and get those additonal game levels. Return to Nai Pali is fantastic but there are are several other

I really liked Unreal, I got a copy from a friend, played it through, bought my own copy and then started again as well as getting extra levels.

I have Unreal (not Tournament) running as an OS X app on my intel iMac. Yes, a native OS X app. Yes.

Aha, finally!
I knew it, I posted already back then. Had also no luck back then.

What I did:
User.ini -> Unreal main folder
Unreal.log -> Unreal main folder
User.ini -> Unreal main folder
engine.u -> Unreal/system folder
Unreal Mac OS X -> Unreal main folder (file broken? Says "Unix executable file" and opens Preview)

Do you have some n00bz-instructions?
