Hi I'd like to know how to change the global font sizes in OSX. I found that TinkerTool can do sth like that but many applications ignore that setting anyway. Is there sth hidden in some system preference folder ? Do I have to retouch some .nib s ? Can I scale the dpi setting like in windows ?

Anything ?

You can't.

The functionality you are looking for is planned to be fully implemented in Leopard's successor operating system.

Leopard's successor? I think you mean Tiger's successor, Leopard. Due out this October.

No, he means Leopard's successor (or at least an update much later on). An active RI UI isn't going to ship with Leopard.

No, it'll probably be enabled in a point update next year, as Apple's said for quite some time. It's not going to wait for the next major revision in 2010 or whenever.

It's like Chinese for "something," I think.

Sorry, that was what I meant by an update later on... wasn't clear. (Looking at how I wrote it, I can see that it looks like I meant a new version of OS X way off in the future).
