What would cost a lot more? Groceries? Cars? Utilities?

All of the above, and more. Unless they plan on not having a vehicle, which would be very difficult in such a rural area, the taxes on owning a car can be crippling in some parts of the nation. County income taxes, trash collection fees, county fuel tax, high local sales tax, utility taxes (and a higher price for those utilities to begin with), expensive groceries (rich people don't shop at Safeway, so there likely isn't one in the area). I'm sure I'm missing more, but suffice to say that economically it isn't a working class-friendly area.

I don't see how you could live in that area without a car, regardless of income. I grew up in the country, and a 1/2 hour drive to the grocery store was not uncommon (not counting little gas station/delis). You don't have to be that rich to own a car.

In some places you do have to be well off to have a car, I couldn't afford one when I lived in So Cal, the taxes, insurance, and fuel was restrictively expensive. Mainly I shopped at stores I could reach on foot (until I bought a scooter).

Maybe Lucas will put on a bus service for them.

That would help, though it's still pretty tough dragging all your groceries on to a bus (did that, it sucked).

If they could actually afford to live there.

There were watchable moments in the later Indiana Jones movies - not in the fourth, but the third was -89 according to IMDB. LucasArts also did some good in the nineties, so he must have made some good decisions in what games to promote around then. The insanity must have struck some time in the mid-to-late nineties.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
