I need to put together a bunch of .dmg parts on my PC (can't do it right now on the mac) and burn it or at least put it together back into a whole image.

Are there any windows tools that can do this?

I don't think there are any Windows tools to do this. But I also can't think of a reason why you'd need to do it. Just burn all of the parts on one CD, and when you put the CD in your Mac, double-click on part 1. Disk Copy will automatically combine and mount the entire image.

Duh. Thanks. Basically I just needed to get the files home. I can't believe I overlooked just copying them to CD. I'm going to go splash cold water on my face.

That's OK. We've all done that before. About ten years ago, I used to download large stuffit files onto my PC at work, open them in Word, and divide the gibberish into floppy sized parts. Then at home, I would open the parts in Word and combine them. Fortunately, getting Mac files home from PC offices isn't so hard today.

Nero does indeed burn .dmg files as image files, but it does not burn .dmgpart files, which is what his question was about.

Then how come if I try to burn a dmg file in nero I get an error stating it's an unrecognised format?

Please explain how you did it I have a dmg that needs burning.

If it is an ISO 9660 standard compliant ( most are ), than:
File -> Burn Image
Then select your *.dmg file and hit burn. A dialog will popup asking something about filetype or something along those lines, select HSF and then burn.

Well it still gave an error on burning a .dmg file (one whole file) even though I selected HFS. I'll burn the actual image to the disc and a copy with the image of it and see if one of those works. Thanks. How can I open the .dmg with Nero?
