Shipped on Tuesday came today. I wasn't expecting it until Friday but as I was leaving for the subway to go to school today I saw a FEDEX truck pull onto the street. I ran all the way back to my Apt. and sure enough I ask the guy if it's for my apt. and it is.
So here I am, typing on my first ever MAC and loving it. I had it on the net in seconds and already have it set up to my liking. Mac is the way to go.
And as someone who was getting pissed off because of Apples shipping problems I can say finally getting it took away all that anger

Anyway I'm also assuming this is one of the newer batches of 15" i.25 GHZ models So I'll keep ya posted if I have any of the problems that have been coming up with the earlier shipments.

I have yet to purchase a digital camera (next on the list)
But my friend has one, so I'll get some pics of me on the road with it sometime next week and post them on that other thread.

And yes, it's sexy and smells nice

Hah hah, yeah I did. I had to leave the PB in the box and play with it when I returned.
I was suprised I didn't skip myself, but we had a critique in my one class that was worth quite a bit of our final so I had to go

Congratulations. Mine is coming in about 2 weeks I think.

BTW When you do get a camera, you can use it with your PowerBook with no cables to carry. Just slip a cheap flash reader that's compatible with your camera (I have a MacAlly 4-in-1) into your laptop's Cardbus slot on the left. Then you can just take the memory card out of your camera, slip it into the reader at any time, and transfer all your photos faster than USB. Very convenient. The camera card even mounts on the desktop is a drive--and with my 256 MB SD card, that's useful backup space! Doesn't interfere with the camera to use it that way, either.

Thanks for the info.

Just wanted ot say that so far everything is running smoothly, latch works, so far no white spots, but I guess we'll see after a week.

Also I thought I was troubled with the jumpiness of the battery. But today I went for a coffee and ran around doing things and I got around 4:30 hours. I wasn't doing anything super extensive, some light photoshop work while listening to iTunes, but I was pretty happy with it's preformance this morning.

Was also pleased to see apple is giving out free 12 months subscritions to MacWorld when you register your PB. I got the digital subscrition and it's pretty cool, and a nice little gift to go along with the PB.
