Is Ryan Gordon gonna be done with it soon? It seems like forever since I've seen an update.

If UT "Classic" ever ships officially for OS X (with solid network play), I'll pay for it all over again. Still my favorite FPS of the last few years! Tons of fun, good game balance, lots of CPU bang for the buck.

Crossing my fingers,

I am playing it under OSX with a native beta:

http://www.insidemacgames.com/news/s...ArticleID=5164

Check out the beta. Works pretty decent, but you'll have to find a server that lets in v436 clients.

Can't get enough of Facing Worlds!

Yep, I'm running v.436x3 here, but everytime I try to launch a server on the LAN I get "Failed to load file 'De': Can't find file De." I couldn't find any info on it, and don't have WinUT on the LAN to serve.

*BUT* I'll buy it today it doing so means we can get a 3+ humans v Bots match up! So WinUT v436 is all I need, and suddenly LAN games are a go?

Can't get enough of Facing Worlds!

My favorite too! Ah, the beautiful throaty bass of "HEAD SHOT!" echoing from the subwoofer. *8-) And now with my G4 iBook I can head to a local hotspot and jack into some bandwidth for Net play - woohoo!

HEAD SHOT hahaha no doubt. Is that server public?

On a side note, I also dig RTCW and was pretty dissapointed that the expasion pack for it was PC only

Actually just find the either de.u or de.int in your UT System folder, I can't remember, but I think it's the former. Remove the file from the folder, launch UT, and try to join. It should d/l the file and then you'll be set. It's a small file so the d/l should be nothing. If UT gives an error on launching then one of the de files needs to be in the UT System folder. Most likely de.int. Hope that helps.

UT is still the best ?? Why ?? I don't know, nothing seems to kick this games ass !! Only thingy here is that there is no sound when I get health. This is a fully upgraded UT, running in OS 9.

I agree completely. UT is the best. It's
hard to pinpoint why. It just seems so natural.

I have UT 2003. Awesome graphics but it is
too much. Sniping doesn't seem nearly as fun.
