I go back and fourth between OSX and 9.2 (I'm a big UT fan and have to stay within 9.2 for performance) so I'm looking for an IRC program that people are having the most luck with.
Fire is a tremendous program that allows you to (OSX only) simultaneously log into AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, and IRC instant messengers. But it is only OSX compatible and lacks support setting up for IRC. I can't get the IRC to work at all.
Snak is a very simple IRC program and sets up relatively easy. It is seemlessly compatible with both 9.2 and OSX. In it's simplicity it does lack some of the available options that a Win based IRC client has.
Ircle seems to be pretty good and I'm not sure the latest version is compatible for both 9.2 and OSX. I think there are seperate versions for each OS.
If anyone has had better results please let me know so I can make a decision soon.
Thanks,
