I have a customer that has more than 10,000 sent messages in yahoo. He wants them all saved to a disk or computer. I can't figure out a way to do it.
I tried having gmail check the yahoo account, but it seems to only import the inbox, not the sent.
When inside the yahoo webmail interface, you can only do things to messages one at a time.. There is no way we're going to individually touch 10,000 messages.
(I did google this but didn't find anything helpful.)

Why not import the account to Gmail and then load them locally for offline use on their Mac/PC?

Thanks Andy, I tried that but gmail doesn't seem to be importing the sent messages, or I just need to wait longer...
That looks like the ticket Cold! I had no idea that yahoo had a free IMAP.. Why the hell doesn't it work with mail? I even tried setting up a yahoo account in Lion, but that gave me an error regarding upgrading to yahoo plus.

If there's 10000 emails, isn't it worth the $20 to upgrade to plus? Surely your time has a value.

Yeah, I thought IMAP access was only part of Yahoo! Mail Plus.

I tested thunderbird and it DOES work with yahoo, and gives you the choice of IMAP or POP.
