My norton's anitvirus expired on my windows box. I didn't update it and just unistalled it and rebooted my computer. Now Im completely unable to connect to the internet. Something is blocking me from connecting. I can't do the damn system restore, it doesn;'t give me a date to go back to. Does this have somethng to do with my virus definitions? I've had this damn problem before, but had to do a reinstall. I don't have my cd here, so it want be til this weekend, so I'm trying to fix it in the mean time. Anyone else ever have this problem? How can you fix it?

Thanks

This might help.

I assumed you were running 2000/XP with the 2004 version of Norton. If you're not, search through Norton's site for your actual configuration.

You're lucky it only f*cked up your PC after it expired. Mine completely screwed up everything on the PC (not just the internet, everything) as soon as I installed it. Had to format the hard drive and reinstall Windows to get it back...

Try AGV Anti-virus after you get everything back up and running. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php You'll see the link for the free version on the left side of the page. It has caught things on my pc that Symantec didn't.
