Go ahead and release it, though I doubt a grayscale icon would have
much success. The perspective on the DVD is all wrong, the color is
missing, and I don't see how it's any better than our old icon. I
personally like our new icon, and have had nothing but positive
feedback about it. If you can come up with something truly better, then
I'll consider it. Until then, a hacked up version of our old icon just
isn't going to cut it.
I'd don't know...

It is clearly based on his, but better IMHO. I thought his idea was good, just implemented like sh1t!

well i was making fun of him cause your version was clearly based on his but no amount of "hacking" could get his crap to the icon you made.

Download Here I modded the installer to include the new icon. Just uninstall/reinstall.

Thanks for that, but I just figured it out myself in the 20 minutes it took for your response

It's just 3 or 4 icons you need to change within the LittleSnitch PrefPane and LittleSnitchDaemon app, right?

Basically, though the modded installer includes better 32x32 px icons as would be seen in System Preferences.

The Little Snitch icon is good. The ripper would be a little better, imo, with some color. Spill some blood from the edge of the knife, and maybe from "Entrance wound" as well.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

Could you do a variant with a hand gripping the knife at that same exact angle? I like how it looks like it's stabbing when the dock icon bounces. I think that was the intent of the original icon.

I also have to admit to not being a fan of the duck. But I didn't like the AIM man either. Currently I'm using blue and white speech bubble icons for both iChat and Adium respectively:

Demograph68, thanks so much for the replacement Little Snitch icons - that little kid with his beanie hat/whistle has been bugging me for a long time. It's just such a stupid icon, what were they thinking?

Oh, and your MacTheRipper icon is much better than the original, which looks like a five minute cut and paste job (ooh, a pun!).

IMO, the icon would be much improved and less obsolete if that old-looking cable were replaced by an ethernet cable or something..

What do you think?
