The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Well... "Animate CC will continue supporting Flash (SWF) and AIR formats as first-class citizens."
I bet most people won't care. They just want to put up videos and Flash just won't be updated anymore. You'll still see it around, just like you might see a few computers still running Windows XP (we still have a lab room full of them).

Good riddance. Took Adobe only 5 years to figure this one out.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Of course it is a rebranding at this point, but it shows that Adobe has given up on the format. That is as good as dead.
And maybe I'm gloating overmuch for what is a rebranding, but it is so rare that you get a true win against things like this. Flash, and IE (which was similarly rebranded as Edge), were software that you HAD to use to be able to use significant parts of the web, and both are now dead.

More accurately Flash is a zombie. Has been. Just didn't know it was dead.

Dead for years but Adobe and lazy designers kept Flash mucking up the internet.
