I expect to be editing editing about five hours of footage down into one dvd every two weeks using Final cut express hd... I'd prefer not to have to fork out loadsa dollars for a mac pro. Would the 24" 3.33GHz iMac, 3GB RAM do the trick, or should I bite the bullet? Thanks..

The iMac will be plenty fast enough ! I would say you don't even need more than 2GB RAM. Also, make sure you get the 500GB HD upgrade if you are video editing.
PS, the 24" iMac is 2.33 Ghz, not 3.33

Thanks folks. Sorry about the 3.33 GHZ. Typo! Or wishful thinking!

I run a iMac 24 with an external 19 in viewsonic and a 300GB Maxtor FW800 for FCEX, very fast, works great. Get the Nvidia 7600GT.
