And my school is getting rid of 120 HP laptops and replacing them with MacBooks. I've been part of a student-led committee of sorts that has been trying to persuade the administration to switch to Macs, or at least partly. Last year we bought the school about 20 MacBooks after a few fundraisers. They've been very popular, especially with the English and History department so the school decided to add about 80 more. Sadly, we'll have less laptops then before (100 vs 120 PCs) but the most that are in use at a time is around 50-60, so that should be fine. Also, we've replaced a few old Dells with iMacs. Anyway, just wanted to get that out.

My dream has come true
So... ...no dancing girls or cake or Ferraris or anything? Just Macs? That aren't even your own?

For my dream to come true, it would involve Phil Hellmuth, Jesus Ferguson, Chris Moneymaker, a couple bottles of Jack, some cigars, and a lot of money being exchanged.

That and Brad Pitt getting divorced.

[comment on Dakar V’s use of “where y seems more visually appealing, if not altogether correct” where “where i is altogether correct” is altogether correct]

Yeah, how odd. I always dreamt of dancing cake and dancing Ferraris when I was 18. What an oddball, that imitchell guy.

Moral of the story: an "i" is morer correct than a "y", which is more correct than "ie".

The HP laptops are going to the elementary campus. They are fairly old, 1.6 GHz Centrino things.

I did, today is day number 23 or something like that.

However, should I get to play some no-limit hold 'em with the pros over a couple shots of whiskey, and was offered a cuban, hell, even a stogie, I would jump at the chance.

But that will probably never happen, so I will probably not smoke. Anyway, it is a dream, which, life tells us, probably won't ever happen.

Ah promises promises. I suspect this is an empty promise brought on by your delusions from quitting smoking and coffee at the same time.

True and Macnn addiction is the worst, few people have been able shake the habit, just look at ca$h. Imagine if he quit 'NN, coffee and smoking. The dude would be down right psychotic

If only...

I would if I had the 733T skilz. Alas, I can only take pretty pictures, create monochromatic sigs, and drive off undesirable 'NN members.

I'd proudly display any sig someone graciously created that was (mostly) tastefully done.

They's curvy monochromatic sigs though. Old Doof has to make do with normal corners, due to a complete lack of mad PS skillz.

Hmm. My dreams usually involve dozens of nude women, mountains of cash, and a good pastry chef who can also make a great espresso.

Nice to hear about the move to Macs, though.
