Hey guys, this is a plea for help.
Ok so i've been digging through the forums and looking for ways to host an itunes server on a NAC or on a hard drive connected to the users via personal sharing. Is the personal sharing even a possibility?
What I really want to do is to set up an itunes folder that would be available to a user on a laptop wherever he was on the local network. but. my question is then what happens when he is gone let's say on a trip and he open up itunes to play a stream but since itunes no longer sees that folder then all those awesome exclamation points show up and no you're up **** creek. Now if I mount that remote drive after the fact, will those happy exclamation go away?

Ok. so is there a feasible way to doing this? Since we all know laptops can't carry around 100 gb + itunes libraries and do much else. We want to keep our laptops somewhat useful.

I used this thing called slim server, but that was really lame, unless someone actually advocates for it.

I'm open to any suggestions and or questions about this little project.
What I plan on doing is setting up on my 250 gb Sata on my G5 a place to dump all of our wonderful flac files and lossless crap. Then have the laptops use that itunes folder as their primary folder. Will this work out?

And if you have any helpful links from the forum I overlooked plz point them out to me.
