Most people are calling him a Libertarian, which 90% of the time is conservative but don't care about other peoples business enough to want to oppress or discriminate against gays, women, minorities and even liberals. Except this guy was a white supremacist who hated gays, women and liberals. Also heavily religious. Apart from his fondness for Bernie, he's textbook RW loon.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Then they're wrong. This was clearly a Left wing extremist.

It's the only way trump knows how act; like a bull in a china shop, as his way is the only way. He knows not what compromise is, as he's spent his entire life surrounded by "yes" men, and being the malignant narcissist he is, is simply unable to comprehend any other way except his.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

I guess the reason Trump keeps taking these things offensively out of context is because the context is usually a couple of sentences longer and he just can't concentrate to reed that many hard wurds

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/whit...hotels-n764061
The Trump Organization does not "attempt to identify individual travelers who have not specifically identified themselves as being a representative of a foreign government entity," according to a new company pamphlet. The policy suggests that it is up to foreign governments, not Trump hotels, to determine whether they self-report their business.
I mean, come on.

Is Trump taking a victory lap on Comey telling him he wasn't under investigation three times and then not refuting anything else in the statement a good strategy?

I'd be willing to cut him all kinds of slack for the learning curve if humility was in his vocabulary.

humility, or even a desire to learn. Instead he bombastically insists he is right, until someone is brave enough to whisper in his ear, or he gets tripped up by foreign leaders in front of the press.

Also, he can't handle criticism. I can't think of many times Obama or Bush complained about criticism, valid or no. A president should be above certain things, and arguing on twitter is not the best use of his time. Blocking people who criticize him... well that's just either a) petty or b) obstructionist. Also c) futile because all a person has to do is log out or make another twitter account.

http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/201...idN/story.html

“I was saying to a friend yesterday that if it was the @POTUS account, I wouldn’t have cared, because it’s White House aides,” he said. “But from [the @realDonaldTrump] account, I know that it’s him. That’s him taking time out of his day to block people when he should be doing things that are presidential.”

Very few criticized Obama to his face because, "OMG, first black president" which led to an obscene amount of ass-kissing, and what little that did make it through to his ego he addressed with dismissive snark. As for Bush, I think you've forgotten how bad Bush was about hiding from criticism (to his credit, though, that's better than Trump's reactions), or passing it off as being "unpatriotic".

You're right about the "with us or agin us", but I was thinking of the more personal attacks and responses. He didn't go on livejournal and moan about how the internet was mean to him by making his face be a monkey's. He didn't say the press was out to get him, did he? Also, 911 kind of factors into the "rally round me or else" atmosphere.

You don't have to criticize someone to their face. I'm sure Obama's kids had to be screened from some pretty nasty stuff, and Obama never used the official POTUS handle or his own personal one to go on diatribes against his enemies, or use his children as victim shields.

Come on.

Honestly it's more that time and context makes him look better. A good chunk of people still think he lied to get us into a war. That's pretty, pretty bad

Why would Obama need to? He used late night TV (ex. "at least I'll go down as a president") and a very friendly press corp.

Obama didn't need to comment because he had other things to do than be a butthurt man-baby. Like, say, being president.

Today's news:
Trump himself hasn't commented on this yet, but his son did. Apparently he never read Shakespeare in school.

http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/thea...VBI/story.html

Tsk to the Globe for the headline, as it is a Caesar-killing scene... that has been played out over the years with the Caesar character portrayed similar to LIncoln, Obama, Clinton, etc. No one is singling out Trump here. Yet no funding was pulled in years past.

So, he'll be not coming here for a while then.
