"Diary of the Dead" (2008): It's back to the first day, as a group of film students capture the zombie revolution with video cameras, uploading footage to the Internet. "I wanted to look at the danger of the media explosion we're in the middle of," Romero says. "It strikes me as dangerous ... a lot of [what's on the Web] is just opinion."
A group of film students are making an independent horror film when they become trapped in a world being consumed by flesh-eating zombies. They then turn their attention toward making the film into a documentary on their personal horror experiences.
Anyone seen this? I can't wait for it to come out over here. Apparently it's a select release only so it'll be tough to find!

Very exciting! It looks like George Romero has looked back at his past work and studied the elements that made his films great and is using them in this new Zombie Film!
Excellent, Dawn of the Dead (and the remake) have been the epitome of Zombie films, I hope he exceeds himself!

Gawd, I hope this doesn't become a trend like the drunken cameraman syndrome did.

I thought this was part of the drunken-cameraman trend.

Definitely going to catch it. It's only in two theaters here in Houston, so it seems like this is a limited release for now.
