I thought that it'd be interesting to see what people on MacNN buy, and to possibly find places with good prices for people with similar interests, or had a nagging to start a new thing.

I'd like to start with my last couple of purchases. I'm big into weapon, and physical combat training, and so, I present my last couple of bought training, and non-training tools.

My first real folder

to help with my training, I also bought the following training blades Cold Steel Voyager and the Pinute II with the Paracord handle.

Hopefully this thread will be helpful, and enjoyable for people to share their lastest purchases. It also doesn't matter what the item is (family friendly)

Enjoy

My last purchase was a sandwich two days ago.

I don’t think anyone wants pictures of that.

One's last purchase, as in Final Purchase? I suppose it would depend on the occasion, and personal taste. For end-of-the-world, vices come to mind.

If it is a more personal situation ...

I have not made any Last Purchases, since I plan to make many more in the future.

Edit: my latest purchase:

Perhaps whiskey on the left and whisky on the right?

Good old Canobie Lake Park!

I went to Six Flags: New England on Thursday. Due to the tornadoes western mass had the day before, the park was dead empty and the wait times for every ride was below 10 minutes.

Last time I went on this:

I waited nearly two hours, this time we walked all the way in and sat down in 5 minutes. Ride terrifies me...

Sure, just send me $600.

Edit: As a side note, I was torn between the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and the Canon 28mm f/1.8.

Not picture of actual tickets, but just got confirmation(by way of debit from our bank account) that we got 2012 Olympics tickets. The way it worked- we had to submit requests for what events we wanted and tickets were granted via a lottery. Don' t know yet what events we got, but kind of exciting.

Yes. It's for handling the cats - they're getting a little grouchy in their old age.

You made a good choice. My Sigma 30mm f/1.4 has focussing issues. Tends to front-focus a tiny bit. And is too soft at f/1.4 and f/1.6.

You'll have to post example pix. I've had the 35mm ƒ/2 in my amazon cart for a year now. Might pull the trigger soon.

I've heard that a lot about the Sigma. I will probably miss the f/1.4 but meh.

Take a look at Sam and Lee's 365 Project Ricardos – Lee for a sample shot.

What camera are you shooting with? The 28mm is a 45mm on my 40D sensor while the 35mm would be a 56.

Grocery shopping:

Other shopping:

2 of these 640GB drives

and 2 of these 2GB RAM modules

So I now have a 640GB 4GB RAM Macbook and a 640GB PS3 .

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Interesting combination there, Lat...

Here's my latest:

(I should note that this was to replace a failing portable my son has, and it was on clearance-a real deal!)
Not much else purchased this weekend-I was kind of lazy.

Whole beans. From a local micro-roaster. Yes, they have roasters in Muncie, of all places.
I just drink it. I don't write the gaudy tasting notes.

Enjoying a cup right now, as a matter of fact. Yum!

Last I Googled it wouldn't be released until December because of the Japanese earthquake. Phone was for the wife anyway, I have a smartphone through work. I'm not too broken up about it.

I went on honeymoon to Hawaii, and posted a few pix back in the day, maybe that's it.

Canobie lake was fun, I love the rickety wooden coasters. Sek, is that the superman ride?!? Eek!

The last time I was in Greece I was in a store and looked at the liquor aisle. I saw a bottle of Southern Comfort on the shelf, so I picked it up and looked at the bottle. The bottle told the story of Martin Heron and how he created the drink in New Orleans and then moved to Memphis, Tennessee and sold bottles of it from there... All well and good.

Until I looked at the bottom of the bottle. "Made in Ireland."

You bet. I am a total pussy when it comes to roller coasters, completely terrified of heights. For the Superman ride I close my eyes on the ride up so I don't give myself a panic attack. That first drop is so huge and steep you can't see the track at the bottom when you are going over it...eek indeed.

I'd rather go camping than go to a theme park, but the new g/f is fearless with stuff like this so I had to keep pace.

Yes, a phone built by China using mostly Korean tech will be delayed because of Japan.
