I agree, but was the whole on-air stunt really called for? She could have said something to him after the show. He realized he was wrong as soon as she said 'that's a no-no', and tried continuing on with the interview.

I don't thinkt he two "incedents" are meant to be compared?

We all know what happened with the Kramer thing by now, but the Kelly thing, all that amounts to is she is pissed because clay put his hand over her face on live tv and made her look dumb. Two very different stories.

They are two totally different circumstances, but the media jumped on the bandwagon and is loving all of it. ET was especially loving it.

Clay was the guest host on Live. Every time he would try to talk, Kelly would yammer over him. So one time after the guest stopped talking, Clay lightly put his hand over Kelly's mouth for a second. It was actually pretty funny for that show. When Regis came back for the next episode, Kelly spent like five minutes of the opening dialogue bitching about how rude and disrespectful Clay was. (Regis seemed to think she was being a pill, though he phrased it more diplomatically than that.)

I don't really care for Clay, but like I said, it's such a silly thing to get to worked up over. She reminds me of Tom Cruise when those guys squirted him with a trick microphone and he accused them of attacking him. If you can't take such a silly, harmless joke, you really have no business being in the spotlight.

Clay is the ugliest celebrity I can think of. I looks like since he won they gave him tons of facial surgery and he has the face of of a 45 year old with a facelift.

Plus he looks like Martin short to me.

Well, I think the whole situation is retarded but to be fair; Regis and Kelly have been working together for years so it is a little different that she has put her hands on his mouth, and Clay did it during an interview which is bad form IMO. Not a real big deal either way though.
