im actually looking forward to office for once. that new layout view in excel is awesome. the mac version of office is always better than the pc version and most of its innovations appear on the mac first. the macbu are actually pretty talented and do good products considering the resources they are given and the size of their team.
but the PC version i read one review that said the new office was basically just office xp with new splash screens and box. very very little had changed or been improved. notice how those new "great moments" commercials dont mention a damn thing about the product itself? cause there is nothing to talk about.
i just wanna beat MS with a stick

(sorry...any excuse to use that smily is worth it. i love it)

Actually, there's some interesting XML stuff (a bastardized, proprietary version of course) that makes for some great potential in data sharing amongst the applications and among co-workers. And Outlook 2003 has significant interface changes

So there is some stuff in there to talk about, it's just impossible to do in a 30-second or 60-second spot on TV.

But how I loathe those office commercials...

MSN for Mac support = Crap.

You can't even see the little pictures people use for avatars, never mind two way video!

hey...while we're on the subject.
I live in a house with 4 ppl on a wireless network. When one guy in particular (running a Dell too boot) connects to the network, no one else can keep a connection to MSN...any ideas why this might be???
It's only when he's connected...when he's not, we all can maintain a connection...
i should mention also that nothing else seems affected, only MSN messenger.

Has he tried using another client like Trillian or GAIM? If everything works fine with GAIM or Trillian, then you know the his version of the MSN client must be the problem.
