Admin working overtime to insulate Pence. Coincidentally, he started a PAC yesterday. I think all it'll take is the media making it sound like he's building a life raft to abandon Trump for Trump to implicate him.
"There is no collusion between, certainly myself and my campaign, but I can only speak for myself and the Russians. Zero," Trump said during the press conference.
"I didn't know my campaign had 18 meetings with Russians, honest!"

Edit:
The ol "you don't seem to understand just how staggeringly incompetent we are" defense.
I don't, I get the feeling she's at the root of a lot of the bad shit that went down in Hillary's campaign.

She was the manager of the most shifty presidential campaign in the modern era. So... I have serious reservations regarding her character.

"the NYT and the WP deserve some accolades"? For being the worst media outlets of 2017, I suppose. At times they make even Breitbart seem balanced.

To use a Coopism, I'll totally take a dump on both of them, but the "nut job" story was a clean hit. The "person of interest" story is still being reviewed by the judges.
Speaking of Coop, I don't know how the NYT and the WP can be bottom of the barrel considering the shitshow he works for.
As I said, had a feeling there was something lost in translation. For those who don't want to watch the whole thing, Bannon's "defensive" posture is him taking his glasses out of his pocket.
On a different note, Bannon and Priebus stuck with each other would make a great road movie.
Ideally directed by zombie John Hughes and Quentin Tarantino.
But in a May 17 letter, Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget, questioned whether the Office of Government Ethics has legal jurisdiction to get information about waivers that have been granted. He said the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel may needed to be consulted.
“I therefore request that you stay the data call until these questions are resolved,” Mulvaney wrote Shaub in a letter first reported by the New York Times.
Shaub responded forcefully with a nine-page letter to Mulvaney Monday night, denying his request to back off.
“The unusual nature of your letter highlights OGE’s responsibility to lead the executive branch ethics program with independence, free from political pressure,” he wrote. “Accordingly, OGE declines your request to suspend its ethics inquiry.”
It's difficult to take a source seriously when they simply distill the hires down to "lobbyists", when there are literally dozens of different types of lobbies with a myriad of motivations.
Also, If you simply hire people who aren't aware of how lobbies work internally, you create an environment where your people are more vulnerable to the tactics often used by the more predatory types.

It's Scully and Mulder sharing a beer after saving the entire world.
With their toast as the central element.
I figured it might be something like this. I can't possibly guess whether the person who chose that pick knew it's context, nor whether they hoped people would take it in that context.
To me the context was wapo retweeted a big NYT story and NYT followed it up by making wapo their FF recommendation. That merely reads as friendship to me. Or just respect.

If only they knew someone who's job it is to figure such things out.
3) The "no one else has said it" argument sounds unapologetically hive mind.
I'm pointing out in a social media world where outrage gets clicks, I haven't seen any mirroring yours. Thus I conclude that your reaction didn't even occur among those who are looking to rage against the MSM. If that's hive minding so be it

If I had to predict whether social media would get more outraged by premature celebration or circlrjerk, my money would be on circlejerk.
There was outrage about that from the first tweet reply.
I'm not sure I see the point of this latest Trump leak. Yes he did say and reveal some dumb things, but it almost feels like it was leaked just to show off or send a message.
