Yep, that is exactly why I lost interest in the hip hop scene all together years ago. To many taking their wannabe tough life bad attitude to damn serious. Unfortunately.. Besides I've grown up.

Don't get the "gansta" thing wrong. If you have the possibility to escape from that **** then do! Being a "thug" is not the aim, it is nothing worth living for. It is something you have been born into, but if you have the chance to escape from it then grab it! "Thug Life", The Hate You Gave Lil Infants F's Everyone... this is a drawback which has been caused by the US goverment, corporations and many more. It's our responsibility to highlight and eventually fix these problems. Not just Americans in America, also Europeans in Europe, Asians in Asia, and Africans in Africa...

Excerpt of "Never be peace":

"On the strength till my niggas get a piece
We cant have peace
How the **** we gonna live happy if we ain't got none?
You mother****ers is smiling, but I'm mean mugging
Why? Cause gotta be thugging
I've seen drugs done turned this mother****ing hood out
All us niggas acting up
Wild ass mother****ing adolescents
These niggas ain't even got no childhoods no more
How the **** can you have a childhood and you have a funeral every mother****ing weekend
And you mother****ers talking about peace?
Nigga, it ain't no mother****ing peace
You ain't seen the news mother****er?
You ain't heard?
Little babies getting smoked
Mother****ers killing there whole family
'Lil kids getting thrown off buildings
Mother****ers gettin abused
Peace? Niggas you out your mother****ing mind?
**** peace
We can't never have peace, till you mother****ers clean up this mess you made
'Till u ****ing clean up the dirt u dropped
'Till we get a piece
**** peace
Westside
'My Block' Lyric

'Baby Don't Cry' Lyric

'Teardrops and closed caskets'

'The Good Die Young' Lyric

- Thilo

EDIT: Wtf all words have been censored? how prude is that? Oh well... *welcomes myself to america*

EDIT2: The lyric excerpt does not reflect the actual song text, it's quite weird. But anyway I guess you're able to get the important parts anyway.

In London, yesterdays news said that a child of a crack dealer was shot in the back as she ran away from her fathers killer. Cold blooded murder of an innocent child because she could ID the killer. Guns , drugs , morons - mix the three ( and other social/economic /psychopathic factors) and this is what you get.

For years hip hop has rapped on about shooting and being a gansta dealing drugs and shooting people, so its not surprising that low intelligence sheep type people would want to live up to the hype and if not do what they rap about then at least pretend to be be doing it.

It will fizzle out, no doubt

2pac was a notable exception to the gang rap crap people think of. It may be a different style than what most of you would think of as "intelligent lyrics," but if you actually pay attention to what he said, it was a good message. "My life is ****ed, but yours doesn't have to be if you rise above petty ****."

What's going on here?
why are you all talking like a ghetto child,
my assumption is your word is allegation,
but i wonder why you change your constellation?
if you never came from the ghetto
why do you try to copy their flow?
rather speak appropriately, just your way
you got the education, words have a sway

VA-Dirty_Harry_Green_Lantern_And_DJ_Vlad-Rap_Phenomenon_Pt.2_(2Pac)-2003

INFO:

DJ Vlad, Dirty Harry and Green Lantern have collaborated on a new mix CD dedicated to the late Tupac Shakur, that features top names from the hip-hop world paying tribute to the rapper.

The trio remixed a bunch of Tupac tracks for 2Pac: Rap Phenomenon II and had artists come in and put new verses and hooks on the remixed tracks.

"A lot of the rappers and singers came in and laid down original material, making this project that much more special," Vlad told AllHipHop.com.

Jadakiss, Wyclef, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Alicia Keys, Bun-B of UGK and others are all featured on the CD, each participating for free, because of their respect for Tupac.

"This is a serious tribute without the politics and bullshit," Green Lantern added. "These artists and DJ's came together to create the new songs. This is bringing Pac's vocals to the modern times without the restraints of the industry."

The artists were happy with the end result, which even after the bulk of work was finished, took the three DJ's over 52 hours of studio time to finish.

"I had Jadakiss tell me the other day 'Pac is the only artist [I admire] that I didn't get to record with. I can't even say that no more,'" Green Lantern continued.

Green Lantern said he was aware other Pac tributes were out, but insisted that the trio's is version is unique.

"I haven't heard any of that other sh*t, I'm too stuck in my own. I'm used to creating.

Green Lantern will be releasing an untitled album through Eminem's Shady Records imprint.

"It's Shady...expect the unexpected," he said.

Its not a laughing matter , mutherfluckers are getting mowed down on a daily basis

This 2pac character , he mentions niggas, guns , drugs even if he is against it he still puts it in his lyrics...... Not that I really care, it is a form of comedy who has got the biggest fur coat, the finest women, the best guns, the most hoes, who is the baddest, who came from the street, who is the most cold blooded killer , and then say that its all no good and that I am against all that now, its all behind me......course it is , you dont have to shoot your fellow man now, you have cash to burn and no crack habit to feed........ and its all fueled by the record companies in the first place anyway... as someone once said...

." dont believe the hype"
