Ok, on one of my email accounts, I just got 21 returned emails that I didn't send in the first place (duh). They're all labelled "All the free games you want". A Google search shows that this has been going on with this email subject for two weeks - people use a valid email account ADDRESS, but not from the account itself. This pisses me off because God knows how many actually got through. Has this happened to anyone?

First time you've seen falsified sender spam? I haven't seen it in a while, but it used to be a lot more common.

I saw it like once or twice a few years back, but this is the very first time I've seen it this bad. Just today I got a boatload of spam on that account that was private, and now all this false email crap. F'n spammers. I hope they all burn in Hell.

Hopefully the next thing that happens isn't your inbox getting flooded by people who send a bunch of nasty replies because they don't realize that the address in the "From" field is probably fake. I've heard of that happening sometimes...

That's what I'm worried about.

This has been going on for ages.

But I'm not concerned about nasty replies: they get filtered out as spam as well
