Extensis has revealed two font-related updates for both
Suitcase Fusion 5 and
Universal Type Client 4. The changes introduce direct integration with
Adobe Creative Cloud, allowing designers and developers to bring Typekit fonts directly into their font management workflow, along with compatibility with OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
The updates will let users display Typekit desktop fonts through a library of their own, with the option of tagging keywords and favorites to individual fonts for later recall. Toolsets found in font management solutions by Extensis are also available to use, such as font previews, search, fast font usage sample construction, and QuickMatch for similar font searches. Extensis Font Panels are also added to Adobe Creative Cloud applications by Suitcase Fusion 5, adding previews to
Adobe InDesign,
Photoshop,
Illustrator, and
InCopy.
Both updates are free of charge to existing users, with the Suitcase Fusion 5 update available now, and the Universal Type Client 4 update expected later this month.
