It has been a while since it was introduced, so there could be one whenever the MacBooks and MacBook Pros are updated. If not, then I'm sure it will be updated in January.

January?!? A year after its introduction?!? That seems a little late to me ...

Yeah, that would probably be the latest. It will probably get an update of some kind whenever the other notebooks get theirs; which is hopefully soon.

Hmm, I cant see any big updates till at least January if not later. Minor performance upgrades, yes, anything else, no.
Right now, I just feel that the MBA is the future look and feel of apple products, it is, if you like, what the macbook and pro will aspire to be-aluminum, tapered, slightly curvy, reintroduction of black detailing, slimness.

I'm going to agree, I think there will be small upgrades but nothing too big. I'm kind of hoping it's the future look of Apple products, because I love the look of the Air.

it's covered under apple's one year warranty, but im not sure you'd be covered for overheating.

New chipsets (Cantiga-G) and chips (small package Penryns) will be out in September... I expect an update in September or October.

why not covered? I have to be in serious 60 degree temps for the fan not to kick in and even then sometimes a core shutsdown

It is a beautifully designed machine, if apple updates the line shortly I may snag one.

You're having core shutdowns and you haven't brought it to the Apple store to get it fixed yet?
