It's awesome.

Runs fine. The quality seems even better than the 15 Unibody (i have rejected 3 of them)...
And the screen is indeed gorgeous. And it's fast… (2.93)
Whoa! Had to do this. Sorry if I annoyed someone.

Cheers,
Martin

Matte. 2.93GHz / 320 Standard HDD…

After all it was a long story…

At the beginning I have ordered a Macbook Unibody 2.4…
It came… it was perfect.

One months later I ordered a MBP15 2.8…
First one came… Bent Chassis… Second one came… NVidia GFX Faulty… Screen went black during games… 110°C CPU Temperature. Went to Repairs… Came back… Vibrations…

Sent the machine back… The Third MBP 15 arrived…
Vibrations… :/

I talked to Apple… They offered an exchange/Upgrade to 17" 2.93 which came 4-5 days earlier out. So… If anybody dares to whine… that he has a delivery date in March…
THE MBP was ordered on October 17th 08… and arrived on February 19th 2009…  So to speak…

But after all it was worth it… I am a happy camper again… and I used my MacBook Unibody all the time in between…  Which was my only notebook then…
(For homework I have still a 8core MacPro… – But I really need a mobile workstation)

Thats the story folks…
But the apple folks were always very helpful… and that's customer care.
They REALLY tried to solve the problem for me.

Is it just me or is the Macbook and Macbook Pro now too much alike?

I still love the aluminum body and keys, something about the black screen frame and black keys that turns me off?

Glad you like though, good to hear!!

I like the new unibody. The new MacBooks and MacBook Pros are really sturdy. The aluminum MacBook Pros seemed to dent if you just looked at them wrong.
