I ordered my 15" 1.25 GHZ PB on OCT 8, and it says it won't be shipped out until November 4th....

I was pretty upset. I'm going to check around at variou stores and see if they have any stock and give me the educational discount and maybe just buy that way. If not I guess I wait...

You might want to call Apple before cancelling. In a lot of cases it seems to me that they're shipping ahead of the 7-10 days they're listing.

I ordered on 10/6 and my order status has read "to ship on or before 10/21" from the beginning. I called Apple this morning just out of curiosity and a CSR told me that it would ship today or tomorrow. Granted, I haven' t received any sort of email notification yet - but I can't see why they would have told me if it weren't actually ready for shipment.

I ordered mine on Sept 23rd (in Australia), and I'm still waiting. The Apple store can't give me any realistic estimation of a delivery date, except to say that 'Apple is 6 weeks behind on the 15" PBs and they're finishing the August orders this week'...

...except that I know that a guy I work with got his machine in a week, while a friend's workmate got his 2 weeks after ordering.

I guess that's the price I pay for getting a BTO laptop instead of a stock one..?

I received my 15' Powerbook today. I cheated a little and when I saw the tracking got to my city I called and told them I would come pick it up to make sure I got it before the weekend!

Still would have got it quicker than they estimated

Did a pixel check, perfect screen.

Looked for white spots, none to be seen so far (ran it all day yesterday and today).

It came with 10.2.7 installed (sorry, no Panther!). Oh well... didn't really expect it to.

Ordered Sept 23rd checked on Oct first and told me it was shipped on sept 27th. Still no news. Went to reseller again today...told me manufacturing flaw caused the delay, ETA Oct 31st......which means i'll get it only somewhere in early NOv. If this doesn't suck i don't know what will ....

I ordered sept 18, with the 20 gb ipod and the printer from an edu store in montreal. No news yet. I ordered the french canadian k/b which usually drags it but now this is getting ridiculous....

I ordered my 12" with SD on October 3 through the University of Western Ontario Campus Computer Store. Still no ship date or firm estimate. Every time I call them the story changes. It's an exercise in frustration.

Why is it taking this long for a stock model 12" Powerbook to come to Canada?

Sigh.

Same as with all other models, we come in second after our neighbours from the South.

I occasionaly check the delivery delays from the canadian apple store... Vague as usual, 2-3 weeks for the english 15Al, 3-5 for the french.

It's been like since they were anounced.
