I've got an Al 15" and would like to record radio broadcasts of about 3-4 hours in length, once per week. I don't need time shifting or anything fancy, but I do need the files in a format where I can retain good sound quality and easily edit them into clips.

I figure I'll look for an audio recording program on MacUpdate and buy some gadget at Radio Shack. However, if anybody is doing this and has some suggestions for software and hardware I'd appreciate it.

I've used Audio HiJack to do just that, and it works fine. You can use Streamers to set an automatic download. Both are available at Versiontracker. Good luck!
