Does the MacBook (Intel Core Duo) take the same kind of memory as an iMac (Intel Core Duo)?

I have a iMac that I do not use as often as my MacBook, and the iMac has 2GB of ram while the MacBook only 512mb so I was thinking about switching the memory units around.. Is this possible?

Are you sure? I just checked crucial and I get the same exact memory for both systems: DDR2 PC2-5300. The new iMacs use notebook memory, so it should be fine no?

Yeah. I'm wrong. It's exactly the same. You can swap with abandon!
