does office academic give lesser version?

i want to buy office x when it comes out, and since i am a student i guess i can get it off apple site for $200, and it looks like it is the full version, but does anyone know if there are different versions? or is it just academic pricing for the full version?

I remember back when I was a college student, most software packs were the same... just cheaper.

Except for Mathematica I guess.

You just get everything the retail pack has at a much lower rate.

Before you buy it I would check to see if your school has some sort of site licence deal for Office. I had no idea until recenty that my school has a pretty nice deal with Microsoft. They sell Office 2001 for about $40 plus the cost of a blank CD to burn it on. I think that's a sweet deal. I've heard of some campuses that sell if for like $7 at the school store though. Ask around beforehand.

my girlfriend got her office xp at purdue for $5. damn i am jealous. our campus computer store sells cp for a couple hundred, so i am pretty sure we dont have anything like that.
