Yesterday, I noticed that none of my USB peripherals that were attached to my Belkin USB 2.0 Hub (model F5U237 rev. 3) were showing up. I disconnected all USB peripherals except the hub itself and my keyboard/mouse. I've tried connecting the hub to all 3 of my iMac's USB ports. I also ran the Apple Hardware Diagnostic CD, and TechTool Pro...both of which show no problems with the computer. Console is showing the following when I plug the hub in:

Have run disk repairs, Applejack, DiskWarrior, reset PRAM...all to no avail.
It looks like the hub may be fried or something, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows of a solution before I go out and get a new hub.
If I do get a new hub, any recommendations? I like this Belkin model because it didn't throttle back to USB 1.1 speeds if it had mixed 1.1 and 2.0 peripherals attached to it...any other models like that out there?

Sounds like a messed up USB hub. Have you tried it in both self-powered and bus-powered modes (i.e., plugged to the outlet and not)? Some of the reviews in NewEgg and other sites don't give Belkin USB hubs too much praise (though I've been trying to get one for some time now).
What you're referring to is a "smart hub" (or intelligent hub -- but I don't know the right term to use). I got the T4 hub at Macworld, but I don't think it's a "smart hub."
NewEgg turns up some results for that. Give it a shot?

Yup, have tried it both with and without power plugged into the hub. It's a no go, so I'm pretty sure it's dead..and I've now had TWO Belkin hubs that have bit the dust.
Hmm, seems like I'll be shopping for a new one tonight.
Thanks!

Thanks!
I have one of those I got about 2 years ago and it has a lifetime warranty, so you should be able to get a replacement from Belkin.
