Ok, I'm not the biggest soccer fan but the game is starting so I'll tune in and see how good it goes. Can't say I'm rooting for either team but I'll go for Liverpool (though it sounds as if ACM is a better team) since a few years ago, I was having a few cold beers in a bar in Thailand when the Reds were winning some trophy after kicking Man U's collective butt.

Holy Shite!

This is like the FA Cup final last Saturday, only better.

To come back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the match and win it on penalty kicks. Amazing!

Makes me wish I had watched the game.

Dang, what a game. What was Dudek doing on the line though, he's no Grobbelar.

I'm normally a Chelsea fan and Milan are my second team anyway, but I'm really happy for Liverpool. They epitomised English spirit, refusing to give up even when it looked like there was no way back into the match and Dudek's save from Shevchecnko (how much he knew about it, I don't know) was superb.

WALK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The trophy is ours to keep after winning it 5 times. 18-5 is our record now and it won't be beaten.

In 18 years Alex Ferguson has won that title once, it took Mr. Benitez one year.

I'm completely drained after watching this game and I can't go to sleep. All the history was with us and our fans in the stadium showed what the best fans in the world are all about. Never stopped singing even if we were 3-0 down.

Like someone said, you can buy the title but you can't buy class.

This Liverpool team beat AC Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and Monaco(last years finalists) on the way to the trophy. No one can claim we took the easy way through it.

Still can't believe it!

Good for Benitez and the spaniards in that team and mostly for the Liverpool, my favorite British team, its history and traditions are special.

Real Madrid fan.

Tonight is the proudest night in my 15 years as a Liverpool fan. Simply amazing run to the Cup.

You can buy a team of superstars, you can buy the title, but you can't buy heart, and you can't buy the greatest supporters in the world.

The 11 lionhearts did it for the fans tonight. The Kop were amazing and they deserve as much credit as the players for this victory.

Tonight my blood runs redder than it has been in 15 years as I hear the echos from Istanbul...

"Walk on, Walk on, with hope in your heart
and You'll Never Walk Alone"

Here's to the Pride of Merseyside! The Indomitable Liverpool Reds!

Wonder if this means that ManU, Chelsea or Real Madrid will be be able to pry Gerrard away from Merseyside.

Nah, he's said he's very close to signing a new contract.

We will talk really soon, I am sure the manager and Rick Parry will want to sit down and a decision will be made.

But how can I leave after a night like this and all the nights I have experienced?
Only Chelsea could afford him anyway.

Inside information has it that he made up his mind after the second Chelsea game(in the CL semi's) that he would stay. The British media will probably continue to try to unsettle him and tell him how much better it would be to be at one of those clubs but he will stay a Red no matter what.

Thats what some of the Liverpool fans at the ground said when they left the stadium at half time...whoops! Are they going to tell that story to their kids? -

Serves them right for not supporting the team when they needed the fans the most.

Sucks that Liverpool won't be allowed in next years championship to defend their title, thanks to finishing outside the top four of the Premiership.

I'm pretty sure we'll be allowed to defend it. Not that it matters though since the trophy is on it's way to Anfield were it'll stay.

One of the sweetest things is that now Liverpool owns the trophy ManUtd Soccer Clubâ„¢ got when they won their title.

This feels almost better today than it did yesterday!

It should be Chelsea buy the title though

The campaign for getting Liverpool into the CL next year is gathering momentum. G14 wants us in there, Most of the biggest FAs wants us in there and a few polls show that an overwhelming majority wants us in there.
