I'm getting a new 8 GB drive soon, so I wondered what the average MB/GB drive other people had.

Right now the largest one I have is 2GB. I use my 1GB at school. My son has a 1GB as well, and my wife has a 512MB. These things are way too handy not to have a few on hand.

i have a 12GB by smartdisk that i pick up @ the apple store, i plan on picking up another (2GB). Great for carrying photos to show friends, programs, reports/school/college, songs, docs, and transfers. I took about 30 photos on vacation, instead of emailing a few photos to view, i went to his house... plugged the smartdisk in his computer and their they all were, when we were done i took out the flash drive and put in my pocket. Basically the flash drive is the new and improve floppy disk. Flash drives are to say the least...... handy

I have two 32mb drives and two 512mb drives. If I need to transfer really large files I use an external HD and a 512 for me and my wife for school has been fine for our needs.

I also own a 512mb. I could definitely use a bigger one, as I am always in need of transferring fairly decent size files. It's on the wish list, right after I get a 1TB External.

After I lost my 256MB, I got myself a 512MB. I mostly use my 4GB iPod nano as a flash drive.

I use a 2gb flash drive for school and back up a few important files. But don't really need to use it much, and only got this one because they were on sale at the time.

Got a 4gb Sandisk stick a few months ago, comes in handy for work stuff mainly.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Bought a 16 GB off NewEgg recently, and use it for all my Windows-specific project files.

I have a 32GB that I keep my development Windows VM on. Nothing like being able to carry a 'computer' in your pocket.

I have the 4GB Transcend JetFlash V90C .
It's the smallest I ever had, beautiful, and keychain-friendly. The only problem is that it is quite slow for my iMac G5.

I've got one of these, nice and thin, but they don't seem too reliable, I've had 2 4GB and 1 2GB stick fail. Seems to be something with a bad joint somewhere, possibly on the USB connector.

Mine is like this
So you should be fine. We've just had 3 of this particular type stop working properly or at all.

Yes, I'll do that with mine. Although NTFS is an option since there are drivers for OS X.

All of mine have come in FAT32 format, so I haven't had to do anything to them-and I really need cross-platform functionality right now.
