Ok, I know we cant always get what we want. But if money were no limit, then what kind of mac(s) would you own along with anything else?

Here's mine,

Main~
A 24" iMac maxed out on a tilt/pan wall mount, up close against the wall. All cables going to the iMac would be fished behind the wall completely out of sight. This computer would hover over some ultra modern cherry wood desk. On either side of the screen would be two small cube speakers, like Bose or something. These speakers would also be wall mounted and have concealed wires as well.

Mobile~
Macbook Air w/ 64gb ssd DUH!

Car~
lifted 1970 black Toyota Land Cruiser w/ concealed Mac Mini and 7" Multi Touch display in the dash!

This thread could be really cool as a photoshop mockup competition...

I once saw a bathroom TV product that was an LCD built into the bathroom mirror. You turned it off and it was just a normal mirror. I thought that would be really cool as a desktop setup, if the computer could kind of "disappear" when off. Too bad they were charging about 10x too much for it.

Well if it doesn't have to exist... A 15" MBP with a 500 GB SSD HD, wireless DVI, wireless power, and wireless USB.

Dream 1: "And now, at MWSF '09, we have one more thing: the announcement that Apple is committing to a dual PPC/Intel architecture strategy with all new, Apple developed PPC processor families that represent astounding technological breakthroughs over the current processor generation."

Dream 2: Dual 30" ACDs connected to a top of the line, fully speced Mac Pro, plus a top of the line, fully speced multi-touch MBP and ample NAS. Such a setup would only be marginally better than my DP 2.0, of course.

I think most people would have the same reply. I would like a loaded Mac Pro with a 30" monitor or two, a MacBook Air and a regular MacBook for the wife. Throw in two 16 gig iPhones as well and a Time Capsule for good measure.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Well, if you wanna be kinda/sorta realistic about it, then SURE.

If we're going down that route, I'd settle for a stock 15" MBP to take the place of my aging PowerBook.

I'm not being realistic, that is what I want. I need a desktop like I need a ball and chain.

I'm with Dakar, I'd take a loaded MacBook Pro. Probably 17" and maybe an extra display for when I'm at home.
32GB iPad 2 | 32GB iPhone 4 | 11' MacBook Air 1.6 i5, 4GB, 128GB SSD

Mine's fairly humble:
  • 17" MBP
  • 1TB Time Capsule
  • 30" ACD
  • Beer fridge next to an all brushed-aluminum sweet ass desk, but filled with Diet Coke® and Swiss Cake Rolls®

Yup. Fairly humble.

I like how a 1TB drive can be considered 'humble' now

It doesn't exist but I'd love a MacBook Air (with 250gb HDD) + 30" monitor.
I guess my MacBook (4gb ram + 250gb HDD) + 24" is as close as I'll get for now.

If I'm dreaming - I want an iphone that has FULL internet access. Flash, java and everything else including space to download files. At least 5 Mbs speeds.

For real, I want a MacBook air.

It would breakdown thus:
  • Work machine: Mac Pro 3.2Ghz Octo, 32GB RAM, RAID Card, 1 x 300GB SAS, 3 x 1TB SATA, Quadro FX5600, Dual superdrive, Quad Channel Fibre, hooked up to a pair of 30" ACDs;
  • Play machine: 24" Intel iMac in a G4 iMac form-factor, with a matte screen;
  • Portable: MacBook Air with a 64GB SSD and a matte screen;
  • Storage: 10.5TB Xserve RAID with Quad Channel Fibre.

(Apologies to Goldfinger--I just stole two of the items from his list with minor alterations.)
