Um ok, so I just overwrote /usr/bin ... don't ask

Anyway my install CDs are in another country right now, so here's my plan (I'm using OS X 10.2.8)...

- install opendarwin 6.6.2
- install the combined update to OS X 10.2.8
- install Dec. 2002 developer tools

Should that get me back everything I need?

Pirate version !! Then Pacifist. Since you already own Jaguar, atleast I wouldn't have ANY bad feelings about dl'ing it.

Well, I installed darwin on another drive and tried copying over /usr/bin, but after I did that, the combo update would only freeze. I did think about this last suggestion here, but instead I decided it would be simpler to just get myself an early Christmas present of an OS upgrade.

Just make sure your apps work on panther
before you upgrade. I have had problems
with fink since I upgraded to panther and I am
still trying to sort them out.

But then again it is better than having no
/usr/bin/
