I have just purchased iPhone 4s in India. All things done, working nicely except App Store not opening on GPRS. Emails, Safari working fine. OS 5.1.1

I could access Store once after rebooting the phone but it again stopped working. Somtimes i get message "the item you've requested is not currently available" and sometimes "cannot connect to iTunes Store".

I have enabled access over cellular data under App Store settings. I don't have 3G.

Could anyone help?

Cheers,
Ashish

My friend having same carrier, working in same city having 3GS can access the store. he is also having 2G connection.

His credit card is also issued in India if that is one the potential reason.

What could be wrong with my iPhone?

What happens if you connect over Wifi?
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

OS version is 4.2.1 on my friend's iPhone 3GS.

Does it mean this problem has something to do with iOS 5.x.x version?

I suspect that the problem is with your network operator.

it worked once but stopped working.

I signed out from App id and signed in back. Reboot and it worked.

I noticed that 'Security Code' was showing 'required'. I entered the code and reboot the phone. This may not be required.

I could see 2 updates. Now it is not working !!

Confused !!!

At what point was the "Security Code" requested?

Whenever you sign in to the iTunes/App Store from a new device for the first time, it will require you to verify your account information by entering the security code from your credit card.

I suspected security code wasnt saved so i entered and reboot. Store opened once but stopped working immediately. the i went to payment again and found 'required' in security code. This is means it isnt displayed ever. Same on my iPad too. So i rule out this possibility.

Yesterday, I tried to reset network setting but no luck, reset all settings but no luck, restored phone and still no luck. At one point, iTunes store showed blank green. Swiping from bottom crashed the Store app. I even cleared safari cookies. i even deleted iBooks app as suggested on some website. Tried logout and login multiple times.

Store opened once and then stopped working.

During all these, Store was working properly over Wifi.

I dont feel it is network operator problem.

What next should i try?
