So yeah... nice little alien head appeared in my menu bar. Did we ever figure out what it was in the earlier thread? It was sitting there until I finally clicked on it and it went away. The only recent thing I've installed was DivX 5.02. I have WeatherPop, Cee Pee You, The Clock, and Volume Control in the Menu Bar. Funny thing is I thought it was rather normal for the alien head to be in the menu bar.

I was annoyed when it disappeared 'cause I wanted to take a screenshot; it looks damn cool in the menu bar! But this is the first time I've seen it and I haven't a clue what could have caused it to be there so I don't know how to get it back.

I don't have DivX 5.02 yet. My menubar has WeatherPop, AirPort status, Volume, Battery, and the Clock. Looking at this, it seems that the major common ground is WeatherPop.

Perhaps it's time we contact the maker of WeatherPop about this one? I think we've stumbled across an Easter egg of some kind, and I'd like to know how to trigger it so we can prove to everyone else here that we're not totally nuts.

actually...I am pretty sure I saw this on my computer, but I don't remember when. I do have weatherpop but can't remember if I saw the head before or after I installed it.

I saw it just now, but I'm also too stupid to take a screenshot before it went away.

It's like it mesmorizes you and you just sit there frozen until it goes away

Anyways, I have been trying ot use weatherpop, but it stopped working today

I open in and nothing comes into the menubar, it's running though.... (checked with top and process viewer)

Killed it and ran it again, still nothing

Oh well, there was the alien though

Um, neither of those screenshots looked anything like an alien. Come on people! Use the Command-Shift-3!
