I got a warning today over at garagebandcreations.com to watch my language. Apparently, saying "damn, this domain is already registered" is foul language.

What do you guys think? Is it reasonable to be required to not use that word?

I'd think it's a fairly common word when talking about the weather in your parts. It's sure cold in south western Ontario right now, and I can't imagine what Sudbury is like.

Is that with the windchill or without? I'd hope it's not -45 and windy...brr.

Anyway, on topic here, I guess it's an offensive word to some.

In a real musical situation, use of four-letter words is obligatory.
For example:

"that ****ing kick drum sounds like a roll of carpet being hit with a ****ing lump hammer"
"this Rane is ****, where's the ****ing Neumann?".
"you're playing in the wrong ****ing key you stupid ****"

To pick up tips on appropriate usage, watch The Osbournes.

If they are offended by such words, I suspect that they shall not be expecting too many musical contributions by performers outside of, say, Christian music.

I was going to say the same, but I was trying not to be offensive.

What, suddenly the 700 Club gang and the TBN crowd are going to be saying the unsaved will be "very frowned upon" for all eternity?

The boys in Stryper would never shrink from using the word!

It all depends on where you live.

In the south:

Damn, you look good honey!
(This is a fine descriptive, if only he was not talking to a big fat fellow while playing the banjo.)

In the north: (Harlem)

Damn, you look good honey!
(Incorrect vernacular)

Damn-bi-tch, you look damn-fine!
(Correct vernacular)

In the west: (California)

Damn, did you see those waves?

In the east: (New Hampshire)

Damn fine waves I viewed today while overlooking the veranda dear.

In the midwest: (Chicago)

Damn, it's cold, damnit.
How about a brat o'er by dare.

In the great north:

Damn, it's cold eh?

In Europe:

Damnation it's breezy.

In Iraq:

Damn it's hot.

In Vegas:

Damn it's hot.

In Africa:

Damn it be hot in vegas and iraq.

In France:

Damn I smell bad, I need a damn bath.
