I was planning on getting the 15" laptop but have been put off by the number or problems (hinges and white spots mainly) reported. Is there any update on whether Apple has fixed this problem or are they still shipping laptops with the problems?

My wife and I bought two 15" PBs (ordered 11/12 and shipped on 11/21). They're both fine, so far.

As long as you get a fresh off the line model you should be ok, look for week 42 and up (example: V7342xxxxxx). Mine is a week 50, zero problems so far.

yeah the pb15 is a safe bet right now ... all problems are resolved. and you'll also be getting panther FOR SURE since i got mine with the usual gray disc with 10.3 on it. Not like the previous posters with both jaguar and panther on a separate disc....tho that sounds good too ha ha but i think those are just panther upgrades so its a tradeoff

I have had my PB15 for about 3 weeks. No complaints. Everything is solid and works great. Screen is still crystal clear and every pixel works as it is supposed to.
