From Email Addresses on iPhone & Gmail

I just got an iPhone and was surprised that while Mail imports my mail settings just fine, it won't honor my from address for my Gmail account while it does for an "other address." I use my Gmail account for my mail @domain.com address and in Mail I have a different email address from the account information. This is the case on the iPhone for my Google domain account. However, for my Gmail.com address, this option is noticeably missing. Does anyone know how to work around this? Thanks!

Set it up manually as an "Other" email account. It should give you the option then.

That's what I was thinking, but I'm a little worried that it'll screw up the account on the Mac. I guess I shouldn't be to worried since the server holds the mail. I'll report back, thanks!
