I recommend you watch this documentary.

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...23714384920696

It highlights very well why Americans view the war between Israel and Palestine so differently.

There is no such thing as Palestine. But I'll peruse that propaganda film later on.

I'm on dial-up.

Would one of the right-wingers please summarize that propaganda video for me?

And I agree, there's never been a Palestine.

I've got to get going (and do have better things to do with my time), but if it has not been summarized for you I'll try do so later on.

I agree. All countries are figments of the mind, and if there is no Palestine for the usual reasons, there is no such thing as Israel, the USA, Candada, France and so on and so forth...

Glad we got to agree on something finally.

Well.. if that video is telling half the truth, then I understand very much why so many American posters here seem to have such a strange view of the Israel/Palestine conflict.

It certainly explains a lot to me.

Perhaps, but there was nothing new to me in that video. Just a bunch of clips I've already seen on TV. (I'm still pro-Israel)

What I am curious to know is if Americans see the same things.. it didn't quite seem that way.

Sometimes people confuse Americans with liberals.

And that's understandable, if all you watch is the mainstream media's portrayal of Americans.

Americans are Americans first.

Liberals are liberals first - then, lastly, Americans.

It is, in fact the liberals who side with the so-called Palestinians.

If, tomorrow, the Right sides with Palestinians - then the left would be pro-Israel.

I agree that there is little "new" in that documentary. It's more about how it is set up in the film and how well it shows the differences and the propaganda that I thought was interesting. Although it would have been best to add one more side to the mix IMO. Show the news from the Arab side as well that means. Then we'd have both ends of the propaganda machine (Arab and then Israel/US) and something that is in between the two (European press).

Would you like a blanket with that statement?
