Has anyone found any BOINC projects that do not work under Leopard? I'm not talking about the BOINC client here, but rather the projects' applications.

Does anyone use Leopard?

Still Tiger here with my old iMac Core Duo. Can't see a good reason to upgrade.

I HAD Leopard on my G4 1.25 but it ran noticeably slower than Tiger and I saw my seti avg. actually drop.
Got 1.5GB of memory and did a min. Leopard install, but 1.25 is really borderline for use, probably at a certain penalty in speed. I did notice that Leopard screwed w/ my HD and induced a few errors.

Just did a fresh-install back to 10.4.11 a couple nights ago. Response is much quicker as before.
HD is error-free.

Sooo tempted to upgrade the iMactel, but I want to wait a little while longer (10.5.3 or so) to get as many bugs out as possible.

Monday evening I should have my iMac running with 2.5 Gigs of memory, that should hopefully help a little bit.

I tried leopard with world community grid and climate prediction with numerous problems. Switched back to tiger and running smooth. I am waiting for the next update to leopard before trying again.

Thanks for the feedback. What kind of problems? Were they due to problems with the BOINC client? Or the science applications?

I was having problems with WCG in both tiger and leopard. Error messages up the kazzoo, lock ups. Thought it was boinc so tried with climate prediction. Zero problems with tiger. Tried with leopard, error messages up the kazzoo. I left WCG for a few months but recently came back to try again. 1 lock up in 2 weeks with 2 processors. I have 1 processor crunching climate prediction. I only use 3 cores to keep the heat down.

FYI, WCG has had problems with the Mac apps locking up. It has nothing to do with Tiger/Leopard.

Anyone else having problems with CPDN w/ Leopard?
