As of December 1, I've switched to Chrome as my primary browser, with Firefox and Safari next in line.

I used to use Safari until a week ago. It has gotten so slow to be useless over the last few weeks. Scrolling stutters, typing takes forever, and viewing a concert on YouTube cannot render the movement of the performers at all, just occasional hiccups. Camino and Firefox work just fine. This is v. 4.0.4, just recently re-installed. My HD is just 1/2 full and I have 4G of RAM. DP G5 1.8Ghz. I like Camino better than FF esthetically, so that's what my primary is now.

BTW, when I went to the Chrome site it said that it was available only for Windows, and to signup for Mac notifications, so 64stang06, are you running it on Windows?

Nope, Mac native. Had it for about 3 weeks and haven't any major issues with it yet.

In the mean time, does anyone have any idea why Safari is sooo sluggish? I've restarted, including Safe Mode, everything else seems to work fine. Thanks!
