Scenario:

Top Level Folder: Permissions 0777 Owner:pete Group:petehomework

Folder inside has 0733 Owner:pete Group:petehomework.


When I logon as a member of petehomework group I can only drop files on that enclosing folder and not folders. It fails and tells me I don't have permissions to do this. however when I drop a single file into it there is no problem.


Any Ideas why this is happening?

I think you need to have the x rights on the Folder in order to create folders in it.
