My right palm hurts badly when working with 13" MBP touchpad. It is the sharp edge of the unibody to blame but I suspect any laptop edge would do the same as there's literally no enough surface to rest the palm.

I guess I am looking now for some sort of wrist support pad but would like to avoid carrying another "thing" with my laptop. Any suggestions here?

I guess just hold your palm up instead of rest it on the edge. Also, I have a Speck SeeThru case on mine (well a 15") which makes the edge a bit softer.
