I got a new 15" Powerbook maxed out on the 26th of September. I got it build to order so I could put my own cheaper ram in it. Now theres all this talk about new powerbooks next week. Assuming there is a new powerbook release, has anyone ever successfully returned a BTO powerbook? If so, how would you go about it?

BTO machines aren't returnable that I know of, but maybe a polite call to Apple just to ask would do the trick. I think they specifically mention BTOs in the return policy but I'd have to read it again just to be sure. For that reason, I always order stock machines online or just buy in the retail store.

Yeah, I didn't read the fine print on that one. I called Apple yesterday and thats what I got. I'm wondering if this rule is somewhat flexible in people's experience.
Thanks
