Can anyone point me to a definitive list of what the Mac can and cannot do while asleep? Can it serve files? Can it answer fax calls? If I use Timbuktu Pro to contact it, will that wake it up? Will time-activated AppleScripts cause the monitor to come on?

I guess I'm mostly curious how "aware" Macs are about network activity while asleep, and what kinds of things cause the monitor and hard drive to start up.

I've used filesharing on a network after I'd put my mac to sleep. Just takes a few seconds to spin up the hard drive, so network activity should work fine. I don't think anything would cause the monitor to come on, other than keyboard or mouse movement, unless you have your computer set to wake up the hard drive and the monitor at the same time.
