How do you Edit the Cocoa Dictionary????

Hi,
I recently had the Cocoa spell checker 'learn' and incorrect spelling and I can't find how to remove the spelling.
I've looked throught he Mac Help, searched these forums and looked through Version tracker.
Maybe I've just faded out and missed the reference but I can't find anything to correct this.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Just look for
~/Library/Spelling/en
"~" means $(HOME)
Use TextEdit to remove any words.

FYI, its better to use vi (or similar) as the word separator is ^@ and textedit doesn't seem to handle this. in vi this is <ctrl><shift>2.
Seems like a nice piece of shareware to edit this.

Under the spelling panel, type in the word you want to learn or forget and click on the respective button. TextEdit can do this from Edit>Spelling>Spelling...

What I really want to know is, is there a way to edit the existing dictionary words rather than the custom ones? Even with my spelling language set to British it sees color etc as spelt correctly...

Highly non-comprehensible:/
Anybody else who wants to have a go, look in /System/Library/Services/AppleSpell.service/Contenta/Resources/English.lproj. The one thing I did manage to find is the list of "word beginnings" that are shared between many words, to suggest guesses for words, I would imagine, but that would not be highly useful to edit. colour color civilisation civilization urgh.
