Calling this year's show "the epicenter of change," Apple has announced its 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference. At this year's show to be held on June 8 through June 12, "the future of iOS and OS X" will be seen, the Apple Design awards will be presented, over 100 technical sessions will be hosted, and there will be over 1000 Apple engineers on hand for developer's questions.
Developers can sign up for the ticket lottery starting immediately, and concluding on April 17 at 10AM PST. Developers will be informed if they have a pass top the show on April 20 at 5PM PST. Scholarships will be offered to students, but they are limited to approximately 350 attendees.
Apple has informed MacNN that "nearly all" of the training sessions will be streamed for those unable to attend. Users are not allowed to use professional video equipment, or use "selfie sticks" on the premises or in the vicinity of the WWDC.
Attendees need to be a current member of the iOS Developer Program, iOS Developer Enterprise Program, or Mac Developer Program as of April 14. Developers between 13-17 years of age must have their submission completed by their parent or guardian who is an eligible member. The cost to attend is $1599.

Slight change in procedure this year. If you're selected for a ticket, Apple will automatically charge your credit card for the ticket on the 20th. So, if you have multiple memberships (e.g., through different clients), register multiple times at your own risk.

This sounds more exciting than going to a concert.

Wow what a stupid idea. A lottery? What happened to first-come, first serve?
If demand is this high, then Apple should have a ticket allocation committee and have developers write a proposal (5 pages) explaining why their life depends on attending WWDC. The highest-rated proposals get the tickets.

I suspect a lottery may require less review manpower.
