I just received my new 17" and so far love it. I am wondering if I can use the old 15" power adapters with the new 17"? I have 3 adapters in various rooms in my home and at work, and would hate to buy new ones. I noticed the new power adapter says 65w and the old were 45w if I am not mistaken.
Thanks!
Jeff

The old power adapters do not charge the 17" powerbook or any powerbook with the new adapters.
Or, if they do, it takes a long time.

FYI: Some 15" have the 65W power adapter--others use 45W.

I have personally used both the old iBook UFO chargers and the square white ones with a PowerBook 17". They do work, but depending on which one and the state of your charge, they may not provide enough power to both run the PowerBook and charge at the same time. At worst case, you will be able to run the PowerBook, but the battery will get charged very little.
