I am under the belief that I have the illusive Macbook Pro whine. I have attempted to get Apple to fix it 3 times now with no results. I am wondering now if I truly have it. Could someone who has had it please confirm my beliefs? I only truly hear it very well when it is plugged in. QuietMBP will kill it though when that does happen. Its just a high pitched whine, not exactly a whiz, but a whine. Its almost like a quiet version of what a old projection TV makes. It abruplty stops sometimes, but after a second or less it will come back on.

Think Its the same noise?

My MPB used to have a whine issue.
The only time I would hear it, was while it was on the battery power.
I called Apple and quoted this article: MacBook Pro with noise under the keyboard and they replaced the logic board

My MBP has the whine but only once every few weeks. The whine only occurs when plugged in to AC, never on battery power. I'm taking it in to see if it can be fixed but since it only happens intermittently I'm not certain the problem will be located. I'll follow up next week. I have an early '06 version.
